Audiologists have advanced university degrees (either a Master's or Doctorate) in Audiology, specializing in the study of hearing disorders and rehabilitation. They provide comprehensive diagnostic hearing evaluations to determine the type and degree of hearing impairment, and the specific treatment needed. They also select and dispense hearing aids.
We also employ Certified Hearing Instrument Specialists (HIS) who have extensive training in the selection and fitting of a wide variety of hearing instruments, and are licensed by the province. HIS are licensed to test hearing and to recognize the need for a full diagnostic evaluation with an Audiologist.
