Oticon Introduces the Opn Hearing Aid

New Technology from Oticon

Recently, Oticon introduced their Opn hearing aid, which they dub “the best, most advanced hearing aid we have ever made.” It’s the world’s first internet-connected hearing aid.

This discreet, yet robust hearing instrument, based on Oticon’s BrainHearing™ technology, ensures that your hearing aid helps you process sound from a variety of sources in noisy environments.

Research has found that people with hearing loss have more difficulty remembering information. They can also find trying to listen and understand conversations exhausting.

Well, your brain has to work harder to figure out what’s being said, which takes up more ‘brain power’ that would otherwise be used to remember the conversation.

The Oticon Opn™ hearing aid reduces cognitive stress by allowing you to hear all the sounds around you that may otherwise make it hard for you to follow what others say.

The Oticon Opn™ scans sound at a high speed of more than 100 times per second, cleans excessive background noise and balances different sound sources to provide clearer recognition of what you need to hear.

There’s more to better hearing than just hearing

According to Oticon, the Opn hearing device boasts benefits that go beyond just better hearing:

  • 20% less listening effort, as compared to Oticon’s Alta2 Pro hearing aid
  • 30% improvement in speech understanding as compared to Oticon’s Alta2 Pro hearing aid
  • 20% increase in your ability to remember – individual results may vary by patient
  • Use the Oticon ON app to turn your smartphone into a remote control for your hearing aids. Just download and install to get started
